Prompt 110

Hey guys! There seems to have been a problem with the prompts, none of the ones since the 6th have been posting. I fixed it and all the prompts since then have been posted! Sorry about that.

For today, write about the worst injury you've ever had. What was the injury? How did it happen? What did you have to do to fix it? Did you need surgery? Stitches? Happy Writing!

Hello, I'm new to your blog, just started following today, but I love to write and am prepping for my 4th creative writing class coming up this next semester. This looks like a great way to start and get a bit of writing out.

PROMPT 110:

I was a mere toddler trying to climb a tree while my family and I were out camping. A towering barricade of pines surrounded us, each with their own stub-like steps.
See, I loved to climb trees. There was something about getting as high as you possibly could, testing your strength, and then being rewarded by the wonder view near the top.
However, the particular pine I had chosen that day was not ready to be conquered and must not have appreciated my mere fifty pounds. The first step felt steady, as did the second. I was on a roll. However, my third step did not meet a sturdy branch. Instead, it was greeted with a vengeful crack! Both of my feet slipped from under me, forcing me to hug the tree tightly so that I would not fall. That's when my stomach was maliciously kissed by a broken branch.
The pain was almost as intense as the scream that exited my mouth. Suffice to say, all I needed was a band aid, but it was not enough to erase the memory or the scar that still resides on my abdomen nearly twelve years later.

I just realized how old this blog is and that it hasn't been posted on in a while so I don't know if anyone is really active. Nevertheless, I appreciate the prompts and will try and use them. Thank you.
